Odd Hours Software

Odd Hours Software is a contract database development & programming shop.  We help businesses in all timezones improve the management of their critical data.  Most of our clients are out of the area and we run all of our projects remotely from our office in Grangeville Idaho.

Services

We specialize in designing and building custom database solutions.  Our services include every aspect of a successful software implementation.  We can help you with an isolated technical issue or manage the entire development process.  We pride ourselves in being easy to work with and delivering on time and on budget.

Database Development

Odd Hours Software has the professional experience and technical skills necessary to deliver exceptional databases designed specifically for your business, on budget and on schedule.

Training

We also teach programming classes through the state college.  Our classes include relational database theory & design and advanced VBA programming.  Maria's Access classes are particularly popular and we offer customized technical training for specific needs.

Experience

Developing business databases since 1981, we have authored many large systems for a wide variety of clients.  Mark was the project manager and lead developer of the primary portfolio management and fund accounting system for The Benham Group in Palo Alto. He wrote more than 100,000 lines of code for this comprehensive system that managed over $10 billion.

Some of the companies we have successfully built database systems for include: American Century Investments, The Montgomery Funds, Banc of America Securities, VISA, San Francisco International Airport, Critical Path, Dow Jones & Co. and Rolodex. Some local clients include: Potlatch, CCI/Speer, and the Nez Perce Tribe.

"Mark Baker was the first person I ever hired, and it was the best career move I ever made. While working for me at three different companies Mark consistently completed complex business development projects on time and on budget. Mark is able to quickly gain the respect of management and coworkers through his professionalism, integrity, and commitment to quality. He combines this with the proven development practices of eliciting complete user specification, rapidly deploying prototypes, and adhering to project milestones to achieve an unparalleled record of successful system deployment."

Former CIO, Montgomery Asset Management.
President, IT General.

"Filling a position and finding myself in a dilemma over an inherited antiquated database providing environmental information and statistics reaching throughout Idaho & the Inland Northwest,  Mark & Maria came referred by Lewis Clark State College to do a remodel.

After an analysis & consultation of what was needed to reach the general population they built a friendly, usable program that receives constant inquiries.

I look forward to utilizing their expertise in database upgrades, as the environment changes."
